Wine; Ruby/Garnet colours. Dark Cherry, strawberries, dried herbs, saline, really draws you in. Palate loaded with dark cherries, plump strawberry, cured meats, saline but not salty, if that makes sense, Iron, herbs. Plush and savoury mid palate. Quite unique. Perfect balance like all the ‘23’s, keeps rolling and rolling on the palate.
Production; 160 Dozen.
Halliday Review; From a single vineyard in Diamond Creek. Destemmed with 14 days on skins and pressed to French hogsheads (20% new). A bright crimson. An alluring bouquet redolent of crushed strawberries and raspberries, a little orange peel and some Earl Grey tea leaves. Gently fleshly, this fills out nicely in the mouth before finishing long with svelte, balanced tannins. Already a joy to drink, this will also age well over the medium-term.
