2022 Hugo the Frenchman's Burgundian Blend
The Six Js Estate 2022 "Burgundian Blend" is a blend of Pinot and Gamay.
Apparently, in Burgundy, a French winemaker called "Hugo" once made a delightful medium bodied wine with using a blend of Gamay and Pinot. We cannot vouch for the veracity of the story but we love the story as much as we love the wine.
The wine has a cork seal (in classic French style).
This is a fascinating wine that showcases the terroir of our vineyard in great style. It is also a fabulous combination of grapes and flavours that is rarely (if ever?) seen in Australian winemaking.
Our Burgundian Blend is sold by the half dozen, 6 bottles at $40 per bottle.
